With Deloitte University being in Texas, they were able to style the facility as an “accounting dude ranch” and it overall feels a little more homey even for a business trip. I also found it a little weird that they played a video on the shuttle ride over explaining how they’ve spent years trying to cultivate the perfect experience so that professionals could learn and socialize in the environment without ever needing to leave the property. They offer a great training curriculum in person when you’re down there and it’s a fantastic networking opportunity between geographic offices to be able to connect in the classrooms and over drinks at The Landing (the “sports bar” for evening events). KPMG Lakehouse 9301 Lake Nona Blvd, Orlando, FL 32827 KPMG, one of the Big Four professional services firms, selected Lake Nona for its national training center from a competitive field of 50 prospective cities nationwide. Even understanding that you’re not going to spend all of your working time at Lakehouse, it’s an extremely valuable training experience and a major perk of selecting KPMG as a firm. I’ve visited Lakehouse while employed with KPMG but recruited across the Big 4 and visited Deloitte University before signing on.
